Band, chorus and orchestra students at Babylon Junior-Senior High School recently held a fundraiser that could put one to sleep. They sold mattresses in the auditorium to the community to raise money for Babylon Schools Friends of the Arts. Thirty-two mattresses were sold overall, raising an impressive $4,270. The money will go toward sending the students to this spring’s “Music in the Parks” festival in Hersheypark, where they will get the unique opportunity to perform their repertoire of songs and represent their school on a national stage.
