District Appoints New Grade School Principal

The Board of Education has appointed Steven Goldberg as the new principal of Babylon Memorial Grade School, effective July 1. Mr. Goldberg is a familiar face within the school district, having served as assistant principal at Babylon Junior-Senior High School for nine years and the principal of the junior high school from 2009-2011.

Mr. Goldberg is entering his 24th year in the field of education. He began as a permanent substitute for math and science in the Massapequa School District before taking on an administrative role as a guidance counselor in the Sewanhaka School District. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology/science, a master’s in school counseling, and SAS and SDA certificates in school administration. He has been an adjunct professor at Long Island University for the past 13 years.
