Babylon Union Free School District congratulates Babylon High School students Anna Romero Mejia, Anthony Rotondaro, Jack Hoffman, Katherine Hannon, Nicole Santucci, Noah Kowalewsky and Oscar Berrios, all of whom have earned the New York State Seal of Biliteracy. This designation recognizes graduating seniors who have attained a high level of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in one or more languages, in addition to English.

According to Superintendent of Schools Linda J. Rozzi, “The students who earned this special designation committed to pursuing foreign language study at the highest levels. We are so proud of their efforts and our partnership with NYS on offering this special designation.” District Director of Guidance Services, Dennis Murphy, added “Having the ability to communicate in multiple languages can open many doors and may provide our students with both educational and professional opportunities in the future.”
