Babylon High School’s varsity football team finished out an athletic season that many student-athletes can only dream of – they were named the 2013 Big Four Champions, 2013 Suffolk County Division IV Champions, 2013 Long Island Division Champions and 2013 Rutgers Trophy Champions. With a cumulative GPA of 94.556, the group was recognized for their scholastic achievements with a Scholar-Athlete Team award from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. Additionally, many team members were awarded individual county, division and All-Long Island honors.

In celebration of these honors and the exemplary sportsmanship the team members displayed throughout the year, the district’s Board of Education and administration, as well as local and regional elected officials, commended the team and their coaches. During a special school ceremony, the team and their coaching staff were presented with citations and awards from Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino and the Babylon Village Board of Trustees, Babylon Town Supervisor Richard Schaffer and New York State Assemblyman Joseph Saladino.
