Staff Recognized at Superintendent’s Conference Day


Superintendent of Schools Richard S. Rozakis got the new school year off to a positive start by welcoming back staff members and honoring 15 of the district’s longest-tenured employees at Superintendent’s Conference Day on Sept. 2. “We’re very happy to welcome back our faculty and staff for the 2014-15 school year,” said Mr. Rozakis. “It promises to be one of the best school years yet!”

In keeping with tradition, the district honored the following staff for their years of service to the Babylon schools:

During the morning conference, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Daniel D’Amico provided an overview of a few of the 500 hours of curriculum writing projects that occurred over the summer. “I know that this work is done with a sense of pride and commitment to your profession and the students with whom you work,” Mr. D’Amico said. “A tremendous amount of work was completed this summer.”

Following the program, staff members returned to their respective buildings, where they participated in faculty and department meetings.
