Club Invention Gets Creative

Members of the elementary school’s Club Invention were treated to a special visit from a real-life inventor on Oct. 16.

Brian Fried, president of the Suffolk County Inventors Club, spoke to the students about his inventions and his passion for inventing. He brought in a few of his inventions and explained how he turned his hobby of inventing into an active business.

Students shared their ideas for inventions and had the opportunity to ask their guest questions. Fried brought in one of his patent-pending prototypes, an animal glove. He asked the students for their feedback on how they think he could improve the design. He also brought in a bag tie clip that he invented and gave one to each student to take home.
