Board Honors Science Fair, DECA Winners

The Board of Education recognized Memorial Grade School science fair winners as well as DECA members who placed in the top 10 at the New York State DECA Career Conference at its May 9 meeting.
   
In the annual science fair, third-grader Olivia Muller was named the winner for her project “Which Material Grows the Biggest Crystals?” Logan Marrin was the fourth-grade winner for his project “Will Dog or Human Saliva Kill Bacteria?” In fifth grade, Ryan Lulley won for “Moldy Bread,” while the sixth-grade title went to CJ Kappauf for “Marshmallow Madness.”
   
DECA members who placed in the top 10 at the NYS DECA Career Conference were also recognized with certificates by the Board of Education. They are: Jack Corcoran, Michael Logan, Maggie Higgins, Ryan Cosgro, Jillian Gaare, Agnes Goldin, Quinn LaRock, Scott Zeterberg, Alexandra Singleton, Joseph Conti, Sophia Sherman, Rachel Camilleri, Alexander Alessi, Michael Steffanetta, Olivia Lulley, Mollie Walsh, Celina Saffioti and Thomas Rigelhaupt.
