Babylon Memorial Grade School sixth-graders celebrated their achievements and closed the chapter on their elementary school careers as they moved up to the Junior-Senior High School in a ceremony on June 23.

Marching to “Pomp and Circumstance,” the soon-to-be graduates filled Rowe Hall and were welcomed by family, friends, administrators and Board of Education members. Superintendent of Schools Linda Rozzi urged students to cherish every moment of the next six years and take with them the lessons they learned in elementary and grade school. Sixth-graders Bridget Hannon and Kenneth Graham offered a look back on the year’s past and a look ahead into the future Class of 2022.

Before awarding each student a diploma, Memorial Grade School Principal Steve Goldberg reminded students to find a balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Junior-Senior High School Principal Al Circone welcomed the incoming seventh-graders to their new building.

The symphonic band offered their rendition of “Star Wars” and the entire sixth-grade class joined together to sing “America the Beautiful” to conclude the ceremony.
