In the spirit of the holiday season, students at Babylon Memorial Grade School took part in Thanksgiving-related lessons and classroom activities.

Technology teacher Danielle Weis recently took the time to assist students in sharpening their computer-based skills by utilizing the Microsoft Word and Office 365 programs to design their very own Thanksgiving-themed place mats. The completed projects included facts about the holiday, including what the students are thankful for every day, and their favorite aspects of Thanksgiving.

Additionally, students in Kelly Arcoleo and Kim Gentile’s fourth-grade class transformed into culinary experts for an afternoon as they prepared delicious baked goods for those less fortunate this holiday season. With the help of volunteer family members, the students carefully followed directions and measured out the provided ingredients to create tasty loaves of banana bread.
