Student representatives of Babylon Junior-Senior High School’s Distributive Education Clubs of America recently attended a DECA competition held at Suffolk County Community College in Selden, competing against other prominent high schools from Suffolk in multiple professional categories.
Throughout the course of the competition, Babylon displayed their talents against other Long Island schools and performed incredibly well in events spanning subjects such as accounting, finance, apparel and accessories marketing, public speaking, job interview and visual advertising.

Due to their outstanding efforts, 62 of the total 100 Babylon-Junior Senior High School students have qualified to compete in the New York State Career Competition held in Rochester, New York in March.

“This is the best showing that we have ever had, and I am extremely proud of all students involved for their hard work and effort,” said Babylon Junior-Senior High School Director of Business Education Claire Reilly. “In addition, they performed in a very professional manner and represented Babylon so well.”
