Governor Andrew Cuomo, in Executive Order 202.26 issued on May 1, 2020, scheduled the School District Budget Vote and Elections for June 9, 2020. The voting process will be accomplished by Absentee Ballot, with every registered voter, of record, in the school district receiving an Absentee Ballot by mail to be returned, postage-paid envelope will be provided, to the District Clerk to be received no later than Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

The Executive Order includes updated guidelines on Board of Education Trustee nomination packets. District residents who are interested in running for a Board of Education position should contact Linda Pesce, District Clerk, at 631-893-7923 or email at to request nominating petitions.  Nominating petitions must be submitted to the District Clerk no later than Monday, May 11, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. in order to appear on the ballot for the June 9, 2020 election.  In light of the restrictions imposed by COVID-19, petitions will be accepted by mail as well as by scanning the petition and emailing it to There is no minimum number of signatures required for the June 9, 2020 School Board Election.
