In honor of New York State’s School Board Recognition Week, members of the Board of Education were recognized by students and administrators during the November BOE meeting.

Board of Education members were offered unique and thoughtful tokens of appreciation. Babylon Elementary School Principal Jessica Kemler presented the Board with a book filled with pictures and stories created by elementary students about their favorite places in school and why they love their school.

Grade School Principal Steve Goldberg showed a video that highlighted students’ artistic, research and technological skills. Grade school students created a work of “heart,” which they presented to the Board members. Junior-Senior High School Principal Al Cirone introduced flutists from the wind ensemble, who played “Edelweiss,” while SEPTA made a donation to the Babylon Community Scholarship Fund in each Board member’s name.
