Ten Babylon Junior-Senior High School student leaders recently attended the Compassion without Borders Leadership Conference held at Islip High School, where they participated in workshops centered around community service and creating a culture of compassion, acceptance, tolerance and positivity in school.

The conference is sponsored by the Suffolk County High School Principals Association, as 350 students from 35 Suffolk county high schools were in attendance this year. By day’s end, the attending students left with a multitude of tools and ideas they’ll be able to utilize in organizing the Awareness weekend event, an overnight team-building event which will be taking place early next year.
