 Description

Science National Honor Society is a national organization honoring and encouraging student excellence in science. Institutions nation-wide recognize these members as scientific leaders in their high schools and communities.

The objectives of our organization are:
-To Encourage and recognize scientific and intellectual thought
-To Advance students’ knowledge of classical and modern science.
-To Participate in community service to encourage a dedication to the pursuit of scientific knowledge that benefits all mankind.

In order to gain membership, these students needed to meet the following national requirements for admission to this prestigious organization.
-Be in the 11th or 12th grade
-Be enrolled in at least one honors or upper level science class in both the 11th AND the 12th grades
-Have an unweighted average of 90% for ALL science courses
-Have behavior that is acceptable to the code of conduct guidelines at BHS and reflect positively upon the Babylon Community
