Babylon Business Students Take a Trip to Citi Field
Sixty business students from Babylon Junior-Senior High School traded their classroom for the ballpark in October for an exclusive informational tour and career discussion at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets. The trip provided a real-world look into the diverse business operations that go into running a major sports and entertainment venue.
The students received a comprehensive behind-the-scenes look at the stadium, including visits to the dugout, the field, and the luxury boxes. The experience extended beyond the sights, featuring a panel discussion with Citi Field employees who detailed the different career paths available within the organization.
The visit included a presentation by Joe Rende, a Babylon High School Class of 2018 graduate, who now works as an Account Executive of New Business Development for the Mets. Mr. Rende shared his career journey and insights, offering the students an example of success for the business students.
