BHS Students Earn All-County Music Honors

Posted Date: 11/13/25 (11:47 AM)

Six talented Babylon Junior-Senior High School students have been selected to participate in prestigious county music festivals this month. The students were chosen based on their exceptional performances in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) spring 2025 evaluations.

Five students have been selected for the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education (NYSCAME) All-County Music Festival. The honored students are: Isabella Cannetti, Madison DeSena, Allie Manetta, Erin O'Connell, and Katherine Orifici. Additionally, Lena Chaberek was selected to perform with the Suffolk County Music Educators Association (SCMEA) All-County Jazz Ensemble. These selections place them among the top student-musicians in Suffolk County.

The NYSCAME and SCMEA festivals bring together the most accomplished musicians from schools across the state and county. Students will rehearse and perform under the direction of renowned conductors in a series of concerts. Participation in these festivals is a high honor that recognizes students' mastery of their instruments or voices.
