Kindergarten

In the first year of school, your child's adjustment to academic life is of primary concern to the district. To ensure a smooth transition, we urge parents to become familiar with the kindergarten program, become aquainted with the class teacher and to feel free to discuss your student's progress.

Children entering kindergarten in September must be five (5) years old on or before December 1st. Please check the calendar (March) for registration dates at the Elementary School. It is mandatory for kindergarten students to have a physical exam, which the school nurse will ask for proof of, as well as evidence of immunization for polio, measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, Hepatitis B, and varicella. Other medical history will also be requested. Additionally, photo ID of the parent or guardian, and the child's birth certificate are required.*

Utility bills will not be accepted as proof of residency. Accepted examples include a mortgage bill, village or town tax bill, or a rental lease.
