Babylon High School’s DECA club continued their longstanding tradition of excellence as they competed against more than 3,000 other students at this year’s New York State DECA Career Competition.

During the event, the students showcased their skills in areas such as travel and tourism, retail merchandising and personal financial literacy. As a result of their demonstrated skills, 12 students placed in the top 10 in their respective categories, with some winning multiple honors.

Ryan Cosgro, who won three top 10 medals in his test, two role plays and placed in the top 10 (fifth) for Restaurant and Food Service management, qualified to compete in the DECA International Career Development Conference.
