BHS Students Take Part in Virtual Enterprise Trade Show
Fourteen virtual enterprise (VE) students from Babylon Junior-Senior High School showcased their business acumen in December at the East End Networking and Trade Show. The event, held at the Riverhead Aquarium Convention Center, brought together VE firms from schools across Long Island.
Babylon students showcased their two virtual firms: Meat the Pickle & Co. and Pro-Fit. At the event, their teams presented professional elevator pitches and successfully marketed their simulated products to peers and evaluators. The trade show provided a hands-on platform for students to practice sales, networking, and presentation skills in a competitive, real-world environment.
Virtual Enterprise is a national program in which students create and manage a virtual company, developing all aspects of the business from product conception to finance and marketing. They then engage in commerce with other student-run firms at organized trade events.
