New York State requires every school district to evaluate its teachers and principals each year through an Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR). Babylon's APPR plan is approved by the New York State Education Department and posted below.

APPR Ratings for Parents:

Under New York State Education Law § 3012-d, parents and legal guardians may request the final APPR rating of each teacher assigned to their child and of the principal of their child's school building for the current school year.

  1. Complete the request form:Use one form for each child. Check the principal, teacher(s), or both.
  2. Return it to Human Resources:Human Resources Department, 50 Railroad Avenue, Babylon, NY 11702.
  3. Receive the rating:The district provides the requested information to the parent or guardian.
