The Babylon Junior-Senior High School girls basketball program joined forces with the girls basketball teams at West Islip High School in a unified show of support for the annual Section XI Coaches vs. Cancer “Score for a Cure” fundraising initiative. Both the junior varsity and varsity squads from Babylon participated in the event, donning specially designed shirts to honor loved ones and individuals impacted by cancer.

Through this collaborative effort, Babylon and West Islip successfully raised $660 for the American Cancer Society. The effort illustrated how interscholastic athletics can bring schools together for a purpose that transcends competition.
